I mean, just think about it:
~we're both poets
~we have the same creative ideology of spontaneousness
~we're both love to travel and are fascinated by everything about it
~we both take amphetamines (I take Adderall for my ADHD, which is an amphetamine derivative)
~we have the same fashion sense (I just realized the other day that my favorite hat and kind of boots are very beatnik)
~we're both prone to really fun irresponsible ideas
~he was gay, and I'm gay for Braeburn (close enough)

How to Celebrate My Centennial
I've got 99 poems but the next ain't one. And for some reason or another I find it particularly important what that next poem becomes; my one-hundredth, signaling a landmark in this most engrossing hobby of mine. I've had the title "Fantasia, My Darling" stuck in my head for a while now, and with a title comes an implied concept; specific enough to inspire, vague enough to be anything. I could write it about my hobby of writing poetry on deviantART, being subtle enough to possibly mean something more in the right context. It's hard to tell with all that's been on my mind lately.
According to an issue of Mental Floss (whom I'd trust to tell t
Poems That Don't Involve Cartoon Horses
Yes, it's my trademark, and yes, it's a trademark I adore, but nevertheless I'd like to take a moment to honor some of the best poems I wrote that don't involve ponies whatsoever, and give a little background on them.
~The Warrior Cometh (http://fav.me/d5k4jec) If I never wrote this, I wouldn't have become a poet. It's the earliest poem I recall writing (save for one about school) and I remember it came to me very easily. I was in the 6th or 7th grade and was listening to the band Dragonforce quite often, this poem is basically my tribute to them. Now my Dragonforce CDs are piles of dust, and this poem is quasi-famous in my household, my gra
Ponies Are Serious Business
My Little Pony is currently entering a new age of greatness and glory, my prediction of it being one of the greatest television shows ever made is about to come true. But the fandom is in peril. The fan work that Bronies are known for is being pursued by Hasbro, leaving the Bronies themselves in utter discord. Prudence would suggest that Hasbro will, as all companies would, do the opposite of what is in their best interest. I beg to differ. If this were Hasbro's fate, Friendship is Magic would not exist. Hasbro's foolish days are numbered...
Uncharted Territory
So, I've been writing poems at a constant enough pace, but I'm becoming increasingly dissatisfied by a great number of them (a problem that's been ongoing for a while now), and I recently confronted the issue head on. First, I looked at all my poems that I was dissatisfied with and asked myself "What's wrong with them? What's there not to like?" This produced nothing. So, I decided to look at all of my poems that I still like, and immediately saw similarities. They were clever, endearing, and all but devoid of sociopolitical or philosophical messages. So, in a nutshell my new creative direction is "Less thinking, more smiling." Let's see wher
